“Are we going to England?”

MAY NEWS!!

Down to 29 years 3 months

Hello all my Newsletter readers,

Can I start with a new appeal?

Not another legal appeal I hear you all say!

No!!

This is a personal appeal to all of you reading this!! Could you all pass on this website address to all your family and friends.

Email or text them, whatever way is best to get this website address out there.

People looking at the site (“HITS TO THE SITE”) have fallen sharply in recent months.

Not unexpectedly really with my Newsletters often months behind schedule and the Home Page still out of date.

I will in future do better and very shortly update our Home Page. So keep an eye on it!!

So please readers if you all could collect say 10 people to ask to sign my online petition, but will also boost the amount of HITS to the site

Okay!, let me start with the updates from last month:-

Regarding Lek’s new visiting visa application.

May the 1st the visa agency/Embassy rang Lek to tell her she is required to make another trip to Bangkok to attend an interview on the 28th of May.

“A good sign maybe”?

So much for them giving an answer before the 4th of May, 2 hours later another call from them with a much better and closer date for the interview of 8th of May.

Not wanting to go into details of how this interview all went.

In short readers!, bad shocking news!!

Lek’s visiting visa is refused!!

I can not tell you all just how devastating this news is. Poor Lek was so so sad when I called her.

The less I write about how I (we) all feel over this the better!!

Heartbroken we all are!!

Okay!! What of May 21st Lek’s settlement visa appeal and hearing.

Well the appeal went ahead and Mrs. Sood our barrister cogently argued all points in relation to Lek’s case. The senior immigration Judge has reserved her determination and gave no indication at all to what she may decide.

So we are all anxiously waiting her decision. I can not give more details of either visiting or settlement visa as both are on going and any comments could jeopardize their outcomes.

In regards to my appeal date for a Judicial Review, no date has been given, we are still waiting.

Many thanks to the British Embassy staff Bangkok for confirmation of December 5th 2007 Amnesty in Thailand. My sentence of 33 years 5 months 15 days was reduced to 29 years 3 months cheers Kate and also thank you again for sorting out my days of remission earned whilst in prison in Thailand (122 days total) not to be sneezed at.

All helps to chip away at that mountain what!

New release provisions within the UK also came into affect.

As a result of the new provisions I will now be automatically released at the half way point of my sentence.

Before this new release provision came into affect I was only Eligible for release at the half way point of my sentence.

My Automatic release date now is 11/01/2020 (The Amnesty in Thailand of December 5th 2007 has still to come off this date)

Roughly speaking I have about 9 more years still to serve in prison before my release.

I guess I can say I am chipping away at my sentence and every little helps.

To all you who have enquired after Lek and Oak.

Lek is well and Oak is more hectic than ever. A right handsome Bugger, cheeky as and more of a handful than ever.

Both are very well and hope to be in England soon.

Take good care of yourselves readers

Wishing you all good health and happiness

Steve Willcox
