According to the letter from the Embassy requesting the Department of Corrections to check on the water system in Bang Kwang Prison due to the Embassy was informed that some inmates were ill and have been affected by using the prison water.
The Department of Corrections would like to inform you that the Bang Kwang Prison have been using the tap water for cooking and cleaning the containers. However for bathing and cleaning cloths, Bang Kwang Prison have been using the water produced by the prison which was chlorinated 0.5ppm.
